On June 24, Green Start was honoured to join a select group of Calgary’s most forward thinking leaders, gathered for the monthly Sustainability for Breakfast. Co-hosted by REAP Business Association and the City of Calgary’s Office of Sustainability, these breakfast meetings offer opportunity to discuss current issues, from the green perspective.
The June meeting sought to shed light on commercial recycling in Calgary. With an agenda focused on waste diversion as a convenient, strategic component of corporate sustainability, the event hosts approached Green Start President & CEO, Kevin Davies, to speak as a business leader in this field.
Because we consider client collaboration critical to the success of our waste diversion movement, Kevin not only took this great opportunity to discuss Green Start’s vision, he did so in collaboration with Margaret Laidlaw – a representative from one of Green Start’s most dynamic commercial recycling clients, AMEC.
Needless to say, we were thrilled to have AMEC join us, speaking as both client and ambassador for our shared cause.
